Sequana Created by Mary Shaw in Paris in 1997, Sequana is an entire universe based around the home, a way of life, where comfort and elegance,myth and modern, nature and culture all come together to create the art of living Sequana. Firged from her irish roots and with french influences mary shaw interprets and re-interprets the ancient, the classic and the new. Using natural materials, and working with the most experienced craftsmen, collections of original furniture, fabrics, ceramics, accessories, objects for loving have been created each with its own separate identity, quality, athentic goods giving an image of timeless chic. Sequana is presented in the spirit of a home, where many different ambiances have been created. It is warm, discreet, intimate and oozes charm. Everything is for sale. Works of art, photographs, paintings, sculptures all by present day artists are exhibited. A few antique pices are part of this environment and links the past to the present.

Sequana is the latin name for the river Seine in France. The name comes from a water goddess, a healer who protected the source of the river seine in anciant france, in celtic times. she was a woman and represents for us harmony and well-being which is the spirit of sequana.
